Cameroonian star set for Orlando Pirates

Simon Omossola
Cameroon goalkeeper Simon Omossola is the latest Orlando Pirates target

Cameroon international and AS Vita goalkeeper Simon Omossola is said to be on the radar of Orlando Pirates.

Cameroonian goalkeeper coach Ernest Mabouka believes such a move would be a great fit.

He told Soccer Laduma: “What I can tell you is that the goalkeeper coach who coached him in Cameroon before he left is a good friend of mine. Omossola is a good boy and in terms of his mentality he is strong. He can do something in South Africa and maybe Pirates is going to be happy with someone like him. Cameroonian players and goalkeepers are strong and their mental strength is top if you look at how long (Patrick) Tignyemb lasted at Bloemfontein Celtic. If you take someone like this guy (Omossola) to Pirates, mentally he is very strong and he can be able to do good things at Pirates.”
