While every team has different requirements, Mzansi’s ‘Big 3’ clubs of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns (not necessarily in that order) have all released and signed players ahead of the 2022/23 season.

And they are not done yet!

The general consensus is that Mamelodi Sundowns have the most money to spend and are the shrewdest of all the teams in the DStv Premiership when it comes to identifying talent.

Little wonder perhaps that they have won the league title for the past five seasons!

Kaizer Chiefs – as extensively reported by The South African website – released 10 players and at the tie of publishing have signed seven replacements in the transfer window.

Amakhosi’s Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates have also been active in the transfer market, cutting eight players and signing six new ones.
