Cape Town City have confirmed the departure of a second player for the remainder of the season in the space of a week.

Zimbabwean striker Douglas Mapfumo has joined Cape Town All Stars on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old striker follows Shane Roberts out the exit door at City after the latter was allowed to join TS Galaxy.

Mapfumo had joined the Citizens from the now defunct Cape Umoya United at the start of the season.

However, he struggled to cement his place in Eric Tinkler’s starting line-up, making just seven appearances for Cape Town City without finding the back of the net.
