PSL sponsor lists Kaizer Chiefs vs Cape Town City match for Saturday!

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) sponsor SuperSport TV has listed the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City on their Saturday roster.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) sponsor SuperSport TV has listed the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City on their Saturday roster.

According to SuperSport TV, the ‘match’ will be screened LIVE on SuperSport PSL channel 202.

This despite Amakhosi announcing that they will NOT honour the fixture as their camp is hit by 31 positive cases of Covid-19.

At this stage, this is likely to be the same scenario that happened during the promotion/relegation play-offs when Royal AM didn’t pitch for their scheduled matches.

On Friday, The South African reported from first hand information that the league match would not go ahead – albeit on postponement.

The story, however, had too many twists as it later emerged that the PSL reportedly rejected Amakhosi’s plea to postpone this fixture and the four others scheduled for the month of December.

The PSL is yet to comment on this whole saga, and it remains a misery what their decision is even hours before the scheduled 18:00 kick-off.

Now, with Chiefs ‘unable’ to honour this fixture against Cape Town City, they are likely to lose all three points from the encounter.
