The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has revealed the fixture list for the first week of the Absa Premiership restart.

The league announced earlier in the week that competitive soccer action would resume on Saturday, 8 August.

League picks up where it left off

First on the agenda would be the Nedbank Cup, which is at the semifinal stage.

Baroka face Bloemfontein Celtic in the last four, while Mamelodi Sundowns have been drawn against Bidvest Wits. Kick-off times and venues are still to be confirmed.

In terms of league action, the PSL has confirmed the kick-off time, with fixtures starting as early as 13:30.

All teams will be based in Gauteng, playing out of temporary home grounds for the rest of the season.

Just as fixtures were suspended ahead of mouth-watering midweek action, it resumes with the two clashes in the original schedule, as Sundowns host Orlando Pirates at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday, 11 August.

The other midweek fixture will see log leaders Kaizer Chiefs welcome 2016/17 champions Bidvest Wits to Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

The rest of the opening week’s fixtures take place from Friday to Monday, with Saturday’s clash between Pirates and Wits at Ellis Park the pick of the action.

All but one of the matches will be televised.
