Portugal-based midfielder back on Kaizer Chiefs’ wanted list

Amakhosi are looking to bring back a former Bidvest Wits midfielder who’s currently on the books of Braga ahead of next season.

Former Bidvest Wits and Platinum Stars midfielder Kobamelo Kodisang is back on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

According to the information gathered by The South African, Kodisang could return from Portugal and ply his trade in the PSL.

Kodisang is currently on the books of Portuguese outfit Braga whom he joined in 2019 but featured mostly for their reserve side.

The 22-year-old midfielder made his debut for Braga recently, but with this being his final months of his contract, chances are that he could leave.

Braga have a two-year renewal option on Kodisang’s contract, but they have until the end of May to renew it, and whether or not they will take it remains to be seen.

KOBAMELO KODISANG A TARGET FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

The news of Chiefs being keen on Kodisang doesn’t come as a surprise at all, and that’s because the South Africa youth international was previously wanted at Naturena.

However, Chiefs couldn’t buy Kodisang out of his contract with Braga, but with his contract coming to an end, things could be a lot easier this time around.

The possible transfer could be trickier if Braga exercise the option they have Kodisang’s contract because that would mean Chiefs would have to buy him from Braga.
