Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker Pollen Ndlanya believes there’s one thing Gavin Hunt is doing right at Naturena.

Ndlanya commended Hunt for being brave enough to give younger players such as Happy Mashiane, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Njabulo Blom, and Darrel Macheke a chance.

According to Ndlanya, these players will benefit from this rare opportunity given to them by Hunt, especially the experience they are gaining in the CAF Champions League.

Ndlanya expects these players to be among the best in the league over the next two to three years.

“I think it’s really a good thing by coach Gavin that he is not scared to give younger players a chance because that will make them strong, especially in CAF Champions League games,” Ndlanya told Isolezwe.

“It was pleasing to see Mashiane score one of the goals when they beat Petro [de Luanda] 2-0, and it didn’t end there because Ngcobo also had a hand in the first goal that was scored by Mathoho.

“No doubt that these young boys will be doing wonders in the next two or three seasons from now because by that time, they would be experienced enough,” added Ndlanya.

Mashiane, Ngcobo, and Blom were promoted a few years ago, but they were never really given enough chance to impress until Hunt came in and relied heavily on them.
