Kaizer Chiefs want to hire Pitso Mosimane, but you can be sure that there will be some divided opinion on the matter after his recent relegation with Abha.

Jingles wants to get Kaizer Chiefs relegated.

We visited the comments section of a post by popular Facebook account Football SA, and the experience didn’t disappoint. Go check it out for yourself for a more measured reading of the responses.

Che Ndeitunga said:

“When he was succeeding he never wanted chiefs now is falling out over success he wants chiefs, in other words, he wants to take chiefs to be relegated like his previous club.”

Mshishi Shuga Smokeng said:

“If you want to destroy your precious career go there.”

Saudi Pro League relegation is a bitter pill to swallow

In another relevant twist, Pitso couldn’t save Abha from Saudi Pro League relegation after rock-bottom Al Hazm defeated them on the final day of the season. Jingles won’t be signing a new deal with Abha, but that’s no guarantee he’ll be available to manage Amakhosi. There’s no doubt, however, that this is a big stain on his mostly stellar CV. Abha had it in their hands but couldn’t get the job done.

These are unconfirmed rumours, but they have cropped up in a few places. The first place we saw them was in the comments section of a post by Football SAMoira Tlhagale, wife and agent of Pitso Mosimane, could easily have been negotiating a deal at Naturena. Then again, she could have easily been there for an informal visit with no strings or contractual implications attached.

Ramovic ruled out

TS Galaxy boss Sead Ramovic is the latest man to rule himself out of the running despite stating that Chiefs “are the most beautiful club in SA” last week. Jose Peseiro, Alexandre Gallo and Manqoba Mngqithi have also been tenuously linked to the role, but nothing materialised. According to the newest reports, a meeting at Kaizer Chiefs has determined Pitso Mosimane and Alexandre Santos to be the final names in the hat.

“To tell you the truth, there are many meetings going on now at the club concerning the coaches. But the latest is that the likelihood of Pitso Mosimane and Alexandre Santos will be one of the coaches,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
