Despite resounding success this season, Al Ahly have struggled at times in front of goal and it’s no secret that Mosimane is looking to add some much-needed firepower to his squad.

With the transfer window around the corner, Al Ahly have been linked to a number of players including Gaston Sirino and Keagan Dolly.

In recent days, Thembinkosi Lorch’s name has also been added to that list.

Having read the report, Pitso Mosimane felt it necessary to take to his official Twitter account to address the suggestions the 2018/19 PSL Footballer of the Season would be heading to Cairo.

“There are rumours going around that Al Ahly wants Thembinkosi Lorch. If that has to happen, firstly I will humbly call the Chairman [Irvin Khoza] and ask for his blessings,” he wrote on social media.

The 27-year-old Lorch, who still has two years remaining on his contract with Orlando Pirates, has scored 28 goals and registered 22 assists in 125 matches since joining the club from Maluti FET College in 2015.
