Mosimane’s priority is to develope talent, with an emphasis on coaches. Therefore, he has opened the door of opportunity to future coaches. This includes former players who are now coaching, some who are already in the PSL:

“I’ve started in 2012 with helping the coaches and some of you know that even some of the Premier Soccer League coaches currently have been on coaching education programs that was supported by me financially and otherwise when I was Bafana head coach because it was one of my priorities as a football head coach, to develop talent and some of them are coaching the PSL now and that’s what I like to see, you know not to be known as a coach who has won trophies, but a coach who has contributed to the development of football because football is more important than the trophy,” Mosimane stated on the same publication.

MOSIMANE WANTS QUALIFIED COACHES

However, he wants coaches who are qualified and not just former players who achieved big things playing football.

“The program has been done like that, we have ex-players who have qualified at that time and even now have qualifications who are going to be part of the program to educate children. I want the Curro children to see their heroes that they saw on TV to be part of of this program, but they have to be accredited. It’s not about, ‘you remember me scoring this goal on this game,” Now it’s about you’re an educator, they’re moving into another level. Can you educate? Can you understand the development of player?,” Mosimane continued.
