Mosimane has been without a club since parting ways with Al Ahly a couple of months ago, which would’ve given him more free time.

Mosimane remains in demand after Al Ahly

Since then there has been multiple rumours and mounting speculation over his future, with many clubs thought to be interested in his services. Mosimane has more prominently been linked with a move to Middle Eastern countries, while he was quick to shutdown those rumours emphasising that he would be resting and not rushing into his next coaching gig.

But if you know Mosimane, then you know that you cannot keep the man out of the game completely. While being away from the training ground and matchday dugout, he has utilised the time to start his own schools football academy. On top of that, the former Bafana Bafana coach has started a series of coaching clinics with some of his most trusted members of staff from his time at both Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns. The most recent of those saw ‘Jingles’ and his team pay a visit to Royal AM in a move that caused a stir on social media. Many quarters had even started believing the coach had joined the Durban club, before clarification was swiftly provided.

Gives opinion on

Since then, it seems like he has kept a keen eye on Royal AM. This was made more apparent after he gave his opinion on the side’s 1-0 home loss to Orlando Pirates, a club he played for during his career- a game he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. That game also seemed to prompt him to give his opinion of the standard of the DStv Premiership as it stands.

“I am now getting familiar with DSTv Premier League. Very exciting. Lot of skill and technique.Few tactical adjustments to be improved though if we want to win Caf Inter club trophies. Watched few games at the weekend and yesterday’s Pirates vs Royal AM” Mosimane said on his official Twitter.

It remains to be seen if that could tempt Mosimane into a return to local football soon, but what is know is that he will be in attendance in a press conference led called by SAFA for today.
