The Brazilians’ sharp-shooter scored a league leading 13th goal in the current campaign in Friday’s 4-1 rout of Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld.
It was Shalulile’s 24th goal of the calendar year which tied the record mark held by Zimbabwean “Silver Fox” Wilfred Mugeyi while playing for Bush Bucks.
Peter Shalulile will have two more chances to take the record for himself before the festive season break.
