Peter Shalulile is NOT Namibia’s most valuable player! Shocker!

Mamelodi Sundowns star striker Peter Shalulile has been in scintillating form this season and is well on track to breaking the all-time PSL single season goal scoring record.

The 28-year-old has bagged 21 league goals to date and has his eyes firmly set on the record currently held by Zambia’s Collins Mbesuma of 25 from the 2004/05 season.

Peter Shalulile has five more matches in which to score at least four more goals to tie Mbesuma’s mark.

As reported by The South African website, Shalulile has scored more goals himself this season than SEVEN DStv Premiership teams!

Those teams are: Marumo Gallants and Chippa United (both 20), Sekhukhune United and TS Galaxy (both 19), Maritzburg United (17), Swallows (15) and Baroka FC (14).

According to the highly respected Transfermarkt website, Shalulile is not only Mamelodi Sundowns’ most valuable player, but also the most valuable player in the entire PSL.

His current market value is €1.7 million (R27.8 million) in their estimation.

Peter Shalulile tops in Mzansi but not in Namibia!

However, Shalulile is NOT the most valuable Namibian player!

That honour belongs to 24-year-old defender Ryan Nyambe who plays his football for English Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Nyambe, who was born in Katima in the Caprivi Strip, has a price tag of €2.5 million (R40.9 million).

Rounding off the ‘podium’ in terms of Namibia’s top three most valuable players in Orlando Pirates’ Deon Hotto at €1.2 million (R19.6 million).
