Orlando Pirates welcome GladAfrica Championship side Uthongathi FC to the Orlando Stadium in a Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash this afternoon.
Orlando Pirates will be looking to keep their treble hopes alive with a victory this afternoon. They already bagged the first cup of the season after winning the MTN8 title.
Uthongathi on the other hand will be looking cause the first major upset of the competition by taking advantage of Orlando Pirates’ topsy-turvy league form. The Buccaneers have won just three out of their nine previous games and pressure is definitely mounting on Josef Zinnbauer.

“I’m seeing different energies from players. They want to play, they are eager to play and they are starting to become individuals rather than team players. I’ve already seen this and I said we have to monitor these energies,” Uthongathi FC coach Pitso Dladla said ahead of his clash against Orlando Pirates.
“This desire should not be for individual games. Yes, we like individual brilliance where individual players influence the result of the game, they win the game for the team.
“But we remain a team, it should be about teamwork. It’s something that we have to deal with now, we must control these energies. I see it in training and I hope by the time we play Orlando Pirates on Saturday we would have managed to have come up with something to control it.”
