Orlando Pirates take another U-TURN on star player?

Orlando Pirates look set to take another dramatic transfer turn on a player that has reportedly impressed new coach Jose Riveiro!

Orlando Pirates look set to keep star midfielder Ben Motshwari for the new season!

Motshwari was heavily linked with an exit from the club ahead of next season.

The midfielder struggled with off-field issues last season and was reportedly deemed surplus to requirements in Mayfair.

A new report however suggests that Orlando Pirates are keen to keep the former Bidvest Wits midfielder around.

This comes just days after his fellow midfield partner Thabang Monare was ‘restored’ to the Buccaneers camp.

Monare was confirmed to be one of those leaving the club however a dramatic turn of events saw him earn a new contract at the Buccaneers!

Orlando Pirates set to keep star midfielder!

“Indications are that fellow midfielder Ben Motshwari is set to stay for the new season despite the reports linking him with an exit.” a SoccerLaduma report read.

“Jose Riveiro has spent the last few weeks having a closer look at all the players at the Orlando Pirates.

“And indications are that the Spanish mentor has been impressed with Motshwari and is believed to be planning to keep him in the squad.”

In other news, a former Kaizer Chiefs star midfielder has hit out at the club’s supporters.

George Maluleka spent six years at the Glamour Boys before his abrupt move to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in 2020.

This game during a heated DStv Premiership title race which saw his new side clinch the title on the final day of the season, at the expense of his former side.

As expected, Maluleka went from a hero at Naturena to being one of the most despised players by the Amakhosi faithful.

George Maluleka has since opened up about the hate he received from Amakhosi fans following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Things don’t always go according to plan. You win some, you lose some. And that’s exactly what happened at Kaizer Chiefs.” Maluleka told SoccerLaduma.

“I was able to win two trophies and enjoyed my time on the pitch. I’m working to provide for my family.

“I am not playing football to stress myself about what fans are saying. Chiefs fans are very bitter. They want to see me hurting, little do they know they are building me up.”
