Highly-rated Orlando Pirates defender heads back to KZN!

Orlando Pirates have decided against keeping one of their highly-rated defenders for the 2021-22 PSL season.

Orlando Pirates have decided against keeping one of their highly-rated defenders for the 2021-22 PSL season.

Mthokozisi Dube is the player that Pirates have sent back to Golden Arrows although it’s unclear, at this stage, if the move is loan or permanent.

Dube had returned to the Buccaneers following the expiry of his loan deal with Arrows last June, and a section of fans had rallied the management to keep him.

However, this will not be the case as Dube has resurfaced at Golden Arrows, who unveiled him as their player on Thursday.

The arrival of Mandla Ncikazi at Pirates was set to twist the arm of the technical team to keep Dube at the club.

And this was because Dube did tremendously well for Arrows under Ncikazi last season, featuring in 27 games across all competitions.

Details of Dube’s return to Arrows are set to become clearer in the coming weeks, especially with Pirates also reported to be keen on their captain Nkosinathi Sibisi.
