ORLANDO PIRATES TARGET AMAZULU DEFENDER

Following the business of Makhehlene Makhaula to the Sea Robbers in January, reports say Usuthu’s tough-tackling left-back Riaan Hanamub could follow the same path to Soweto.

With Pirates lacking depth to challenge Paseko Mako in the number three role, Hananub could be a fitting signing after nearly 100 PSL games for Chippa and AmaZulu.

BUCS MIDFIELDER GETS THE BOOT

In other club news,  a midfielder’s Orlando Pirates dream is over.

Following a season on loan at Richards Bay, Pirates are said to have parted ways with midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu.

After making a few inconsistent appearances for the Natal Rich Boyz this season, the 27-year-old Zungu was sent packing out of Richards Bay.

According to the latest reports, the Soweto giants have also taken the decision not to welcome back the former AmaZulu and Stellenbosch star.

“Orlando Pirates will not be keeping Nkanyiso Zungu, after his loan deal was terminated by Richards Bay,” Unplayable reported via Twitter.

“He’s basically a free agent and searching for a team for next season,” a source told the publication.
