Former Orlando Pirates striker Lyle Foster has secured promotion to the English Premier League with Burnley FC.

BURNLEY WIN PROMOTION TO THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Playing in a derby in Blackburn on Tuesday night, a Manuel Benson belter sealed Burnley‘s 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers to bag the English Championship title and promotion to the English Premier League.

FORMER ORLANDO PIRATES STRIKER LYLE FOSTER ON THE BENCH

From a Mzansi and Pirates point of view, our local boy Foster looks set for Premier League football. Foster was an unused substitute on Tuesday evening after scoring one goal and making one assist in 14 appearances for Vincent Kompany’s side this season.

The Johannesburg-born striker is likely to play in England’s top division next season after signing a four-year deal worth €11.00m from Belgium’s Westerlo in January.
