In his own words, Davids said the prospect of having Thembinkosi Lorch, Vincent Pule, Zakhele Lepasa and Richard Ofori back equals to new signings for the Buccaneers.

The quartet have been out with long-term injuries but they are expected to return to action at the start of 2022.

In fact, Lepasa and Lorch are already back at the training grounds although they are not as heavily involved as the rest of their Pirates teammates.

And once they are back, Davids believes they will give Pirates a different dimension, especially upfront where the team has been struggling this season.

“I think from the transfer window, we’ll get some great signings in, and internally, if you take Pule being back, Lorch being back, if you take Lepasa being back and if you take Ofori being back,” Davids told reporters.

“Let’s be honest… Lepasa, Lorch and Pule… that’s our starting line-up front three.

“It’s clear we’re missing them and that’s the boost we’ll get in January with all our main players coming back,” added Davids.
