A struggling Orlando Pirates midfielder has provided an update on his situation at the club with contract coming to an end in June

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare has broken his silence over his future at the club.

The midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Buccaneers during recent times and will see his contract run out at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old has made just six starts under Jose Riveiro this season.

Orlando Pirates midfielder remains ‘motivated’

“To be motivated is an everyday thing for me. I don’t really have to wait for my contract to come to an end to prove what I am capable of doing.” the Orlando Pirates midfielder told Citizen.

“That would be like cheating the game. It’s just an everyday thing (to be motivated), a weekly thing. Where you always push yourself to be a better player than you were the previous day.

“As a footballer, you should be motivated every day, seeking improvement on a daily basis”

In other news, Orlando Pirates have received an offer from North Africa for one of their strikers according to reports.

Bienvenu Eva Nga has struggled for game-time this season and has been linked with an abrupt exit.

The Cameroonian striker has played second fiddle to the likes of Zakhele Lepasa, Kermat Erasmus and now Evidence Makgopa.

Pirates are also reportedly looking to free up an international spot with potential new foreign arrivals lined up.

Bucs receive offer from North Africa for Nga

According to Kick-Off, the Buccaneers have recieved an official offer from an unnamed North African club for Nga.

Nga has made just five starts so far this season, scoring one goal for his side.

In total, the Orlando Pirates striker bagged 21 goals in 93 appearances in the PSL. Nga is valued at over R8 million according to TransferMarkt.
