Orlando Pirates injury update

Olisa Ndah was ruled out of the Sundowns clash and is expected to be out for around a month. Richard Ofori also missed the clash with Sundowns and is similarly expected back at the end of January. Thembinkosi Lorch, who has been out since August, should also be back in training towards the middle of January.

Buccaneers misfiring in the league

Pirates have now managed just nine goals in 14 league outings and they’ve won just once in their last six. Much has been said and made about their defensive solidity, but at some point Pirates need to take the shackles off and start scoring some goals. It’s not as if the club is short of strikers or attack-minded players.

OPINION: One player Pirates cannot afford to lose

In games like today’s against superior opposition, the Buccaneers can’t rely on keeping clean sheets all the time. How will Jose Riveiro cope without Ndah and Sibisi at the back for what is a busy fixture list?
