His reckless challenge on Haashim Domingo in the 21st minute was an absolute shocker.

Therefore, any referee in the world would have sent him off. He was sent off and with it went Pirates chances. It was costly, poor and outrageous to say the least.

Mpontshane started well but then made a costly blooper, failing to deal with a lob from Sphelele Mkhulise.

However, he should have tipped it over instead of trying to catch it, according to Goal. Furthermore, The other goals were out of his control but the damage was done. This is his second costly mistake in two weeks, after Maart caught him off his line in the Soweto derby when the scored the winner for Kaizer Chiefs.

Several poor touches, little to no threat going forward.

Nga has been poor for the Bucs this season and it will not come as a surprise to see him leave Mayfair in January given his form and the depth amongst the forwards at Pirates.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS: Miguel Timm (6.5/10) was once again the Bucs best player despite this performance lacking his usual influence and spark.

However, there were also poor performances from Kabelo Dlamini (5/10) and Ntsako Makhubela (5/10) with both players offering very little threat on the ball.
