Jose Riveiro hands THREE stars Orlando Pirates debuts!

Jose Riveiro has handed out three official Orlando Pirates debuts this afternoon when his side faces Swallows FC!

Orlando Pirates get their 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign underway this afternoon against rivals Soweto Swallows.

The Buccaneers will be looking to start life under new coach Jose Riveiro on a positive note.

Riveiro has handed official debuts to Nkosinathi Sibisi, Tapelo Xoki and Bienvenu Eva Nga while Miguel Timm has also been named on the Bucs bench.

Standing in their way however will be a rejuvenated side in Swallows, who narrowly avoided relegation last season.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00.

Orlando Pirates have suffered a major injury blow just two days ahead of their DStv Premiership opener against Swallows FC.

The Buccaneers will reportedly be without the services of a star new signing for approximately six weeks.

He’s set to remain on the sidelines for approximately six weeks according to reports.

“Orlando Pirates will get their 2022/23 DStv Premiership season underway against Swallows FC this weekend, however, they will have to do so without striker Evidence Makgopa.” a SoccerLaduma report read.

“However, Siya sources have informed the crew that Makgopa suffered an ankle injury in training and could be ruled out for up to six weeks.

“But the club is hoping that his spell on the sidelines is shorter.”
