Orlando Pirates winger Vincent Pule has let the fans know that he is ready to return to the pitch.

Pule penned a heartfelt message to his fans on Facebook letting them know that he is soon to return.

Vincent Pule returns

Orlando Pirates have missed Pule’s touch in the final third and his return will be a boost for the Sea Robbers as they chase continental football.

“It’s been 190 days since my injury. It’s been 47 weeks and 2 days of pain, bad times, good times, great support from my family more from the supporters who always asked about my return from this injury but your love, care and support has pushed me throughout the whole 190 days without being able to do what I really love the most which is football, but I’m glad and excited to make my long awaited comeback,” Pule wrote on his official Facebook page.

Pule hasn’t featured for Orlando Pirates since getting injured on international duty back in October 2021.

Pirates also face the task of overturning their 1-0 loss in the first leg of their Caf Confederation Cup quarterfinal against Simba in Tanzania.

Orlando Pirates face Simba this weekend after an explosive visit to Dar es Salaam.

Mandla Ncikazi has divided opinions after calling out the squad’s treatment in Tanzania.

Orlando Pirates backed into a corner

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Joseph Makhanya has backed the coach though.

“‘The comments by coach Mandla Ncikazi were spot on. It is about time African teams practice fair play that people preach about. We talk about it, but only few do it. The treatment in other countries is not up to standard/ This thing has been happening for years, even during our playing days, and it kills players’ spirits,” Makhanya told Soccer Laduma.

“Coach had to stand up, not only for Orlando Pirates, but for others who cannot speak for themselves. These countries need to stop these dirty tricks and play football. We can’t always speak that players need to tolerate such behaviour, because things happen in CAF, it shouldn’t be a normal thing.

“Intimidation should never be normal, we shouldn’t be okay with such treatment because the image of our football will never improve. If we want to be like other continents, we must behave in a professional manner on and off the field.”
