Mosele who joined Pirates just last season was a regular for the Sea Robbers in the previous campaign but injuries and form have seen him go down the pecking order.

Mosele has been at Pirates for a season

Mosele arrived at Pirates as a celebrated signing from relegated Baroka FC, and had to bide his time before eventually getting a look in. Even in the previous campaign it was injuries that saw him get his opportunities in the team belatedly but once he did play he made a good impression.

In fact Mosele’s contributions were so good that they earned him a maiden Bafana Bafana call up before he fell out with national team coach Hugo Broos. That did not deter their relationship however, as they soon kissed and made up after the midfielder continued to show his qualities in the Pirates jersey.

More additions to midfield have made it tougher

This season has been tougher for Mosele though, and has since the additions of players like Miguel Timm and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo detrimental to his progress. He returned to the Pirates side from injury not too long ago, before once again succumbing to an injury against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Orlando Stadium early last month.

He has since found it tough to get back into the Pirates line up and according to The Citizen, the frustration has boiled over to the point that Mosele has asked the club to put him up for sale at the end of the season.

Player has his head turned

“Goodman is in a bad space, he is not doing well and that is worrying. He is not the same guy who first came to the club and was full of good spirit, Right now he is very different, and that is because he’s not playing. Players are like that, it happens all over the world. When you know that you are a star player but can’t get game time at your team it is worrying. Remember Mosele came here (at Pirates) as someone who it was believed would make history at the club. I feel sorry for him, and to make the starting line-up is difficult. You can see with the number of players in that position. Guys like Fortune are not even playing,” added the source to the same publication.

It would be interesting to see if the player has indeed handed in the request and wether or not Pirates would be willing to part ways with Mosele, a talented player who is a Bafana International.
