Orlando Pirates loanee sent packing by PSL rivals!

An Orlando Pirates midfielder has been sacked by a rival PSL club he was supposed to be on loan at until the end of the season!

Orlando Pirates loanee Nkanyiso Zungu has been prematurely released by Richards Bay FC.

The midfielder re-joined the newly promoted side at the beginning of the season from the Buccaneers on a loan deal.

Zungu made 12 appearances for The Rich Boys, which included just seven starts.

He won’t be adding to that though as the club have opted to release him from his loan deal with immediate effect!

According to local publication Unplayable, the Natal Rich Boys have taken the drastic decision of sacking Nkanyiso Zungu! No reason has been given regarding his premature departure just yet.

In other news, look away Orlando Pirates fans, Thembinkosi Lorch is injured again!

Lorch just recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff, and made an immediate impact at the club.

His absence however has since been explained by head coach Jose Riveiro who confirmed the diminutive winger is injured.

It remains to be seen how severe his injury is or how long he’ll remain on the sidelines for at this point in time.

Pirates star’s absence explained

According to local publication IdiskiTimes, Lorch suffered a hip injury in training.

“We hoping to see him back as soon as possible and actually I think it’s a minor thing but it happened too close to the game so we didn’t have a margin to solve it.” the Orlando Pirates coach said as quoted by the publication.

“So yeah, we’re happy with him, he’s finding joy during the games and during the week [at training] and we all benefit from that obviously.”
