Orlando Pirates sign R3.5 million African star! – Report

Orlando Pirates have pulled off a blockbuster signing involving a World Cup bound attacker according to the latest reports!

Orlando Pirates have landed star Cameroonian striker Marou Souaibou according to the latest reports!

The 21 year-old is en-route to Qatar after being named in Rigobert Song’s Indomitable Lions’ squad for the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.

According to reports, Souaibou will join the Buccaneers in January from Cameroon Elite One champions Coton Sport.

He scored 21 goals for his side last season and will undoubtedly add some much needed fire-power to Jose Riveiro’s side.

Orlando Pirates sign African star!

According to kickoff442 Souaibou joins Orlando Pirates on a deal worth $200 000. (R3.45 million)

In total, Marou Souaibou scored 30 goals in 63 appearances for his previous club which was enough to earn him a spot in the Cameroon national team!

In other news, Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has warned Kaizer Chiefs that there’ll be nothing friendly about this weekend’s Soweto derby.

The Buccaneers and Amakhosi face off in Saturday’s first Carling Black Label Championship semifinal at the FNB Stadium.

“We are motivated and preparing for the next one with all the illusion and the enrage again.” – the Orlando Pirates coach said as quoted by Citizen.

“We are preparing as good as possible, but in a different circumstance, and a different type of a tournament with rules.

”So, we need to be aware of that and as usual, we are trying to preserve to be a better team on Saturday in the first semi-final, that is the first objective.”
