Orlando Pirates have set their sights on a highly rated Mamelodi Sundowns striker to beef up their misifirng attacking line!

Orlando Pirates have made enquiries over the availability of a Mamelodi Sundowns striker according to reports.
The Buccaneers, alongside Cape Town City and SuperSport United, have emerged as the front runner’s to land out-of-favour Sundowns striker Kermit Erasmus!

The 32-year-old striker has been tipped with a move away from Chloorkop due to lack of playing time.
According to reports, the striker could indeed make a blockbuster return to Orlando Pirates however there’s a stumbling block…

“Phakaaathi has been led to believe that Cape Town City, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United have all shown interest in securing the services of out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns striker Kermit Erasmus.” a Citizen report read.
In other news, Jose Riveiro will be without a key midfielder due to suspension on Sunday evening when his side travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium.
Orlando Pirates face Maritzburg United at 17:30 but will be without the services of star midfielder Goodman Mosele.
This comes after the Bafana Bafana midfielder was suspended by the PSL due to picking up a red card in their MTN8 victory over Royal AM.
Mosele earned two yellow cards in the space of 12 minutes and as a result, will miss Sunday’s clash.
“Orlando Pirates can afford Erasmus, but he is hesitant to make a move there.” a source told the publication.
“This is because it is not really the head coach, Jose Riveiro, who is keen on having the player at Pirates.
“It is more of a move from the top brass. At the same time, the boy does not want to get himself in a situation where he is going to struggle for game time.”
