Orlando Pirates are set to offer a new contract to one of their key players as his current deal is et to expire in June 2023.

Pirates are set to offer goalkeeper and key man Richard Ofori a new contract, according to Phakaaati.
His current contract expires in June next year and Amakhosi management want to extend his stay with the Bucs.

Bucs management are set to offer key man Ofori a new contract.
“I think a lot of people know that Ofori’s contract is ending next year, so, obviously there has to be talks between the player and the management. It has to happen soon because if you take time in such situations you might end up losing the player. He is the number one choice at the club and the management obviously want to keep him,” said the club insider.

Therefore, Ofori is expected to stay with the Bucs for many years to come.
Furthermore, he has been identified as the first choice in goal despite the recent rise in form of Siyabonga Mpontshane.

The 29 year old’s experience is key to this side. Especially, since they lost both Bucs legends – Happy Jele and Thulani Hlatshwayo last season.
Meaning, he is the wise head at the back and is key to mentoring the likes of Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi at the back.
