Orlando Pirates look set to shift a few players in January, but they’re also looking to key men down to new deals.
Ofori set for new Orlando Pirates contract
The 29-year-old Ghanaian goalkeeper is currently recovering from an injury that cruelly ruled him out of World Cup 2022 in Qatar, but remains a key operator under Jose Riveiro. Ofori joined Pirates in 2020. With his contract set to expire in just over six month, Bucs management are keen to offer him new terms. He’s been first choice ever since he displaced Wayne Sandilands.

Ofori won his first trophy with the Sea Robbers this season when they lifted the MTN8.
“I think a lot of people know that Ofori’s contract is ending next year, so, obviously there has to be talks between the player and the management. It has to happen soon because if you take time in such situations you might end up losing the player. He is the number one choice at the club and the management obviously want to keep him,” said a source.
