According to this new report, Bucs or the player feel that Mabasa would benefit from increased game time elsewhere after making 22 appearances that included three goals and one assist last season.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker is likely to join newcomers Richards Bay or Sekhukhune United.

“Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa is expected to leave the club on loan with two DStv Premiership clubs favourites to get him on their books for next season, SABC Sport understands,” the report said.

“SABC Sport has gathered that the 25-year-old is not short of suitors, however, and rival clubs Richards Bay FC and Sekhukhune United are the two clubs in pole position to sign the player on loan ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.”

Meanwhile, the Sea Robbers have signed two new strikers in Eva Nga and Evidence Makgopa.
