Orlando Pirates could have a new stalwart such as the likes of Siyabonga Mpontshane or the departed duo of Happy Jele and Ntsikelelo Nyauza.

The player we’re talking about is the 30-year-old Maliele Vincent Pule from QwaQwa.

ORLANDO PIRATES TO EXTEND VINCENT PULE’S DEAL?

According to an update from the leading transfer reporters Soccer Laduma, Pirates and Pule have a one-year extension contract option that is likely to be exercised.

“Word reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates are set to trigger the one-year option on star player Vincent Pule,” the outlet reported in their latest edition.

The former African Warriors and Bidvest Wits winger, who arrived at Pirates as a PSL champion and Telkom Knockout winner with The Students, was out injured as Bucs lifted the MTN8 last season.

“The attacking midfielder joined the Buccaneers from Bidvest Wits on a free transfer in July 2018, being snatched away from bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs, who were thought to be leading the race at the time and favourites to recruit the player,” the report added.

“According to sources, an announcement might only be made at the end of the season… and that’s if both parties do not engage in talks over a completely new contract before then.”

THEMBINKOSI LORCH KEEPS MYSTERIOUS ABSENCE

Staying with Pirates, Lorch’s continued absence has begun raising question marks and eyebrows after coach Jose Riveiro’s curt updates.

While the Spaniard has given a bit more details on the injuries of players like Paseka Mako, Evidence Makgopa, Richard Ofori, and Kermit Erasmus, there have been no details on Lorch.

The Pirates coach has been asked about Lorch on two occasions, in August, he simply said “he’s not available.” Read the full story here.
