It’s been a long patient wait. New reports say this former Orlando Pirates star is signing for Maritzburg United.

Imagine how Wayde Jooste would have flown in this Orlando Pirates of Jose Riveiro with its attacking full-backs? Unfortunately, the Gqeberha-born star left before the ‘Spanish Guitar’ began to play.

REPORTS: FORMER ORLANDO PIRATES STAR WAYDE JOOSTE TO SIGN FOR MARITZBURG UNITED

Football is a strange business, especially in this country. Jooste was one of the most exciting full-back in a black shirt, but just mysteriously got released by the Sea Robbers.

Following a clubless spell since the start of the season, including an extended trial with SuperSport United, reports say Jooste has traveled to the KwaZulu Natal midlands in the hopes of finding a new job.

“Wayde Jooste joined the players that reported for duty on Monday,” a source told FARPost.

“He wants to impress Fadlu, so he requested to come and train with the team. They worked well together at Orlando Pirates,” the reporter added.

COACH JOSE RIVEIRO DEFENDS HIS PLAYERS
