Orlando Pirates may be soaring under Jose Riveiro with new fan-favourites like Monnapule Saleng and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, but Thembinkosi Lorch is still on the minds of many supporters.

ORLANDO PIRATES STAR THEMBINKOSI LORCH SUFFERS INJURY

As The South African website previously reported, the 29-year-old from Bloemfontein was last seen on the matchday green grass on 21 August against SuperSport United.

Since then, the club have offered a series of vague details about his injury.

BAD NEWS AND DETAILS

Following a brief return to training with his Pirates teammates, reports say Lorch has suffered a new setback.

“Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch looks set for a while longer out on the sidelines as his knee problems continue to prevent him from progressing to full fitness,” the fast-growing local outlet iDiskiTimes reported in their latest edition.

“This publication understands there’s been swelling on his knee after several training sessions with fluids needing to be drained from it. 

“It remains to be seen how long the issue persists before their attacking talisman returns from the recent blow,” the report added.

Are Amakhosi fans pleased with these Lorch news? Most probably.

Meanwhile, the likes of Ndlondla, Saleng, and Kermit Erasmus will continue to shoulder the creative responsibilities against Kaizer Chiefs this weekend.
