Reports say Mamelodi Sundowns were on the brink of buying an Orlando Pirates star. Here’s why the deal fell through.

We nearly saw the latest Orlando Pirates player moving to Mamelodi Sundowns since Oupa Manyisa in 2017.

As recently reported in local media, the DStv Premiership champions made a move to sign Vincent Pule. It’s a surprising attempt, isn’t it? The reports further claimed that the Sea Robbers demanded a minimum of R10 million for the transfer.

According to a report from Soccer Laduma, Sundowns had second thoughts because the Qwa-Qwa-born player is turning 31 in March and therefore would not be a sound investment.
