RIVEIRO ON THE TITLE RACE

According to the Spaniard who arrived in the country in June, he has seen enough to conclude that nearly every team in the PSL is strong enough to become champions.

He added to say that he expects his team to simply be in the top mix come the second half of the season.

“I think the league so far is very equal, every game is very difficult for everyone and not only for Pirates,” Riveiro said as quoted by iDiskiTimes.

“I think we are going to arrive at the break with not so much advantage between the teams at the top.

“But our objective is not to be on top of the table today but to get as many points as possible in order to stay amongst the top sides in the second half of the season,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pirates are also looking ahead to a daunting MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns over two legs.
