For a couple of seasons now, we’ve seen Mabasa seem to take off as Bucs’ reliable striker before he quickly suffered an injury. What an unlucky footballer.

The 25-year-old from Bloemfontein’s largest township, Botshabelo, is now headed out of the Bucs ship, but not for good. Reports say he has arrived on loan at Sekhukhune United.

“Mabasa was at Sekhukhune’s training grounds in Johannesburg today as he prepares to seal his move,” Kick Off reported.

“He was also in the wanted books of Chippa United and Richards Bay but appears to favour staying in Gauteng as Sekhukhune trains in Johannesburg despite plans to play home matches in Limpopo in the new season after using Makhulong and Ellis Park last term,” the report added.

Meanwhile, as The South African reported last week, the Soweto giants have brought in no less than two new strikers. The five-time PSL champions have signed Eva Nga from Chippa United, as well as the Bafana Bafana number nine Evidence Makgopa from Baroka FC.
