Orlando Pirates typically have a high turnover of players which makes it tricky to recall every former player.

LOKE AT ORLANDO PIRATES

According to the former right-winger from Welkom, Free State, he could have become a big success at Bucs were it not for ‘injuries.’

Speaking to TK via YouTube, Loke was asked why he could not break into the Pirates PSL team.

“You were hot at training and in the reserve team at Pirates but you could not take [Joseph] Ngake out of the team?”

“You know TK, there is something in the African culture that we take for granted,” Loke began.

“After the game I would be all fine again. I would feel no pain.

“Pirates could not understand why I was always injured?”

“I would be fine until the final day of training. The squad of 18 would be announced…I would get ready to pack and travel to camp. Suddenly I could not walk.

“My legs would be in pain. My ankles were swollen. Then suddenly I would be fine after the match.”

IS LOKE SAYING JOSEPH NGAKE BEWITCHED HIM?

Asked if any of his senior teammates offered any advice to him, Loke said the former Pirates captain Gerald ‘Mgababa’ Raphahlela simply warned that he should watch the teammates he hangs out with.

“He told me not to mix with the players that I just met here,” Loke continued. “They will bewitch you.”

“Especially the ones you share a position with. They will bewitch you.

“I am not saying he is the one that bewitched me. But I also thought about how Joseph Ngake and I played the same position.

“He was also the one that fetched me from places and traveled with me everywhere,” Loke added.
