Orlando Pirates mistreated Mhango – says Malawi coach

This is hectic. Malawi’s coach has bravely claimed that Orlando Pirates never managed Gabadinho Mhango fairly.

This is a heavy claim. Orlando Pirates have been accused of mistreating Gabadinho Mhango before the forward moved to AmaZulu last month.

MALAWI COACH QUESTIONS ORLANDO PIRATES ON GABADINHO MHANGO

Anybody who followed the saga will agree that the 29-year-old Mhango was a regular until the arrival of coach Mandla Ncikazi at the Sea Robbers ahead of last season.

“The big turning point occurred during AFCON 2021 where the Malawian striker claimed continental fame with fabulous performances,” Malawi’s Romanian coach told SABC Sport.

“Obviously we know he had a tough time, particularly with his club, I think he was mistreated by his club.

“He was not told exactly, ‘You are not good enough,’ or ‘We don’t want you,’”

“I sat with him, that’s the reason I’m the head coach – to have all the information possible, and I have information for every single player so when I pick players, I pick them on merit. So, I know exactly what happened at his former club,” he concluded.
