Astonishingly, Orlando Pirates have averaged a new coach every year in the past 10 years. It seems like the trend is not stopping yet.

As we learned with surprise and confusion last month, the Sea Robbers announced parting ways with co-coach Fadlu Davids, while Mandla Ncikazi remained at the club.
So the question was: will the club appoint a new co-coach replacement or will a new head coach come in? If so, what will happen to Ncikazi?

According to a new report from a leading and long-serving local journalist, Tiyani Mabasa, who manages, Unplayable, Bucs are set on a new head coach.

The club could announce a new man by next week, with four possible candidates in the mix: McCarthy, Gavin Hunt, Steve Komphela, and Pitso Mosimane.
“#UNPLAYABLE sources confirm that O. Pirates are looking for a head coach,” the report said.
“Don’t be surprised if they call a press conference for Monday or Tuesday”
“The frontrunner has always been Benni McCarthy. *Gavin Hunt, Steve Komphela & Pitso Mosimane also discussed,” the report concluded.
