According to the available stats, Jose Riveiro’s side managed a high of 12 shots at goal last weekend, seven of which were on target.

The Sea Robbers are thus expected to only improve on those chances created, starting in the next game on Wednesday against Stellenbosch FC.

  1. While Riveiro has cast huge doubt over any more additional signings, you just never know with Bucs. The club remains linked with a Ghanaian international as well as a Swallows veteran defender.
  2. Following Saturday’s dynamic performance, the Bucs faithful are expected to come out in vast numbers to the Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday evening.
  3. The Swallows game saw three new debutants on the pitch, except for Miguel Timm. The highly-rated midfielder is expected to make an appearance against Stellenbosch. Meanwhile, fellow new face Evidence Makgopa has been reported injured.
  4. With last weekend’s game being a home match, the club wore its new home jersey. Wednesday will be the first sighting of the new away white and grey away kit.
  5. After a new 3-5-2 formation with Thabiso Monyane and Deon Hotto as full-backs, Riveiro may keep the same system or try a different shape.

In the meantime, the club will board a flight to the Western Cape before Wednesday’s game at 19:30.
