Speaking to local media in the past week, Mosimane, who is known to be very demanding of foreign coaches in Mzansi, admitted he has been impressed by Riveiro.

“I’m very much impressed and I’ve been listening to him speak formations and tactics. He’s spot on and he knows his stuff.

“He knows his stuff, he’s calm, humble and he has done very well. You know my opinion about the European coaches in South Africa. This is what we want to see, value-added,” Pitso concluded.

TWO INTERNATIONALS TO STAY

Almost every Pirates fan thought it was all over for of the club’s most-important internationals, but the circumstances have changed.

Having virtually disappeared from Jose Riveiro’s Sea Robbers in the second half of last season due to contract negotiations, including ill-timed injuries, the duo of Ndah and Ofori are set to sign new deals.

According to Unplayable, Ndah’s agent, Mike Makaab confirmed the 25-year-old Nigerian central defender is staying.

“Olisa Ndah’s agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that the Nigerian defender is “definitely staying” at the club and has been recovering from an injury,” the report said.

Additionally, the outlet believes that Ofori’s situation, which was previously reported as a pending departure, is now the subject of negotiations for a new deal.

In the meantime, the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup champions have reportedly signed a new goalkeeper for next season from a fellow DStv Premiership club.
