There’s a new superstar at Orlando Pirates. He is named Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.

It seems like the best is only yet to come after coach Jose Riveiro moved him to a new position on Tuesday night.

As The South African reported on Tuesday, the job was done inside the first 24 minutes of the game.

Monnapule Saleng grabbed a brace that was assisted by Kermit Erasmus, before the Soweto giants maturely managed the game until the final whistle.

The three points pushed Pirates up to fourth place and with a point behind the South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

JOSE RIVEIRO SETS NEW ROLE FOR  NDABAYITHETHWA NDLONDLO

With many commanding victories, there are always one or two pivotal decisions made from the bench.

For Pirates on Tuesday, one of those was moving Ndlondlo to a different area.

Having played as a number 10 since his debut against Sundowns last month, coach Riveiro moved the Thokoza-born star to central midfield as a number eight.

The result was a bouncing performance and a result that could have been a lot bigger than 2-0.

We can expect Sundowns to plan about Ndlondlo as a number eight rather than a 10 this weekend.
