Imagine this motivation coming from your new coach at Orlando Pirates. Jose Riveiro and his assistants believe Thembinkosi Lorch should be a LaLiga player.

Speaking to the media in the past week, Bucs’ assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi revealed what he always liked about the Spanish technical team.

According to Ncikazi, Riveiro and his assistant Sergio Almenara as well as fitness trainer Miguel Bellver Esteve, fully appreciate the natural ability of the Pirates players.

“One thing I liked from the new coaches, I was always curious on how they would see the team in the first two or three days but one thing that I liked, they said the technical ability of our players is at a European standard,” Ncikazi told Soccer Laduma.

“Lorch, they asked why is he still playing here. He should be playing somewhere in Laliga.

“They even mentioned teams like Alavez, Valencia and for me, that was encouraging because sometimes we think so low of ourselves and our players – but when somebody from outside, especially Spain, sees our players in those eyes, for me it’s encouraging,” the Pirates second assistant coach concluded.
