THEMBINKOSI LORCH ABSENCE

Speaking to the media after the game, coach Jose Riveiro was asked why Lorch was missing from the matchday squad. According to the Spaniard, the Bloemfontein-born star got a minor injury on the eve of the game.

“No drama, you’re forcing me to talk about an individual player and injuries, which is not my strength and favourite scenario, but Lorch is an important player, it goes without saying but again today you see the group taking responsibility and performing well,” Riveiro said via iDiskiTimes.

“We hoping to see him back as soon as possible and actually I think it’s a minor thing but it happened too close to the game so we didn’t have a margin to solve it – so yeah, we’re happy with him, he’s finding joy during the games and during the week [at training] and we all benefit from that obviously,” the Pirates mentor concluded.
