Sekhukhune begin talks with Orlando Pirates for midfielder – Report

Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe has been linked with a shock move to Sekhukhune United.

According to the latest transfer reports, Sekhukhune have already opened talks with the Buccaneers to sign the out-of-favour Bucs man.

Sekhukhune United have signed a number of Pirates players over recent seasons. (Linda Mtambo, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Justice Chabalala).

It remains to be seen whether Makaringe ends up at Sekhukhune United or ELSEWHERE!

“It seems the two sides have been talking and the indications are that Sekhukhune wants to bring in Makaringe during the off-season.”, a source told SoccerLaduma regarding the Orlando Pirates midfielder.

“Their technical team are convinced that if he joins the club he will add value to the team. His talent and experience are what they are looking for to add to their squad.

“His contract is ending in June 2024 but because he is not in the coach’s plans that much they are willing to let him go. Whether it’s to go to Sekhukhune or another team, that I am not sure.”

In other news, no Kaizer Chiefs player has scored more DStv Premiership goals than Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana this season.

The lanky Burundian striker has scored seven goals for Arthur Zwane’s side in the league this season.

“It’s pretty disappointing how the coach told Caleb that he will be gone at the end of the season. If that’s the case, you call a player into the office and explain your decision to him privately,” an un-named Kaizer Chiefs player told FARPost.

“It’s a bit inappropriate to say it in front of teammates. They were not there when the club brought the player. It gets us as players wondering if our coach would ever stand for us to protect us.”
