Orlando Pirates legend Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has urged Thembinkosi Lorch to remain positive and hardworking despite a move away from the club not materializing.

The Buccaneers star, Lorch, is reportedly unhappy at Orlando Pirates with yet another season set to pass without him completing a move away from the club.

Lorch handed his transfer request in at the club earlier this year however the final say was in club boss Irvin Khoza’s hands and Vilakazi has since issued some golden advice to the former PSL Player of The Season.

Orlando Pirates legend Urges Lorch to remain positive

“It depends on how strong you are as an individual if they are closing the door for you. You can just tell yourself, when one door closes, another opens,” former Orlando Pirates star Vilakazi said on iDiskiTV.

“At the end of the day, one thing players need to remember is that even if the door closes, it is you who has to try and open it again by performing on the field of play. If you lose an opportunity and you just sit, you are not doing yourself any favour.

“You just need to continue working hard. I always say only God knows when your breakthrough will come. So if you keep your focus and keep on working hard, good things will come.”

Lorch confirms club rejected an offer for him

“I had offers from clubs overseas, but I think the offers were not good for both the team and me. I have a contract with Orlando Pirates, and I have to focus and play as well as do my best,” Lorch said at the time.

The Buccaneers have assembled for their pre-season and will have their eyes set on the upcoming Carling Black Label Cup first up. The Soweto derby seasonal curtain raiser takes place on 01 August 2021.
