An Orlando Pirates legend has just signed for the Buccaneers’ PSL rivals and he will be reunited by a former Bucs coach!

An Orlando Pirates legend has just signed for the Buccaneers’ PSL rivals and he will be reunited by a former Bucs coach!

Pirates legend and veteran Wayne Sandilands has just penned down a deal with PSL rivals, Maritzburg United.
Therefore, he will be joining former Bucs coach Fadlu Davids as part of his coaching team.

Sandilands has just signed a deal as the new goalkeeper coach of Maritzburg, according to iDiskiTimes.
Meaning, he will reunite with Davids, the man who formerly worked under at Pirates last season.

Davids was recently announced as the new Maritzburg head coach and immediately felt it was necessary to bring Bucs veteran Sandilands on board as he opts for experience in an attempt to save The Team of Choice from relegation.
However, he has quite the task at hand. His side currently languish at the bottom of the DStv Premiership with just two wins from 13 matches this season. Therefore, he will need to drastically improve this side in a short space of time.

Thankfully he has the FIFA World Cup break to prepare for Maritzburg revival.
Furthermore, he has the January transfer window to make squad adjustments with some reinforcements certainly needed.
