Orlando Pirates legend open to PSL return

A certain Orlando Pirates legend and former Bafana Bafana star has been linked with a shock and famous return to the PSL in the future.

Daine Klate is open to a return to the PSL.

Furthermore, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews is welcoming the idea of having Klate join his side from a coaching capacity in the future.

“SuperSport is close to my heart. The person that I am, they played a huge part in that. It’s a place I will always call home because of what I’ve built and the family that I’ve left behind there. If I go there any day, everybody loves having me around and they will still greet me the same. I appreciate what they have done for me, to a certain degree, they appreciate what I have done for them. So, for me, if the call comes and I am needed and if it suits me and the club, then it would definitely be a match made in heaven,” Klate stated on SoccerLaduma.

SUPERSPORT UNITED CEO KEEN TO WELCOME KLATE IN THE FUTURE

Matthews is fully on board with having Klate join SuperSport United from a coaching capacity. However, it is something he will look at in the future. Not right now as he already has the coaching staff he needs.

“Daine would be the kind of candidate I would bring back to the club. If you say to me ‘will Daine be part of the future of SuperSport United Football Club?’ and you say to me ‘yes or no’, then I would say yes. There’s a future for Daine Klate at SuperSport. It’s not now, because we are full and we just took Jabu (Maluleka) and I am steered by me head coach and Gavin wanted Jabu in and we were comfortable with that,” Matthews confirmed.
