Lekgwathi, now 45, played a staggering 225 matches in defence for the Buccaneers in all competitions between 2002 and 2014, scoring 14 goals.

He is arguably Orlando Pirates’ most successful captain, having led the Soweto giants to SIX major trophies in just two seasons (2010/11 & 2011/12) making the Buccaneers the only ‘Double Treble’ champions since the formation of the PSL.
He also has 14 Bafana Bafana caps to his name.

‘Captain my Captain’ recently took to Instagram to show off his Jaguar experience in Lonehill where he got the chance to get behind the wheel of a bright yellow luxury Jaguar F-Type. According to the automaker’s website, the vehicle will set you back a cool R1.6 million.

It’s not the first time Lekgwathi has found himself seated in a car that’s the envy of many.
At last year’s Orlando Pirates’ kit launch, Lekgwathi found himself behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang.
Lekgwathi was recently in the news when his restaurant in Soweto, Grootman, was looted during the recent riots and unrest in the country.
